A logo and a system, not just a file.

We design the mark, the colour palette, the type and the rules for using them, then hand over everything you need to use it consistently, from a favicon to a pull-up banner.

Most small brands are a logo and a guess.

A lot of businesses have a logo someone made years ago, a colour that changed slightly every time it got used, and no rule for which font goes where. It’s not that the logo is bad. It’s that there’s no system behind it, so every new document looks slightly different to the last one.

A real identity fixes that. Once the mark, the colours and the type are locked down and written up, anyone on your team, or anyone we hand files to, can produce something that still looks like you.

A complete, usable system.

Discovery

We start with what your business actually does, who it’s for and who you’re up against, before a single shape gets drawn.

A logo system

A primary logo, a secondary version, a standalone mark and the lockups you’ll actually need, not just one image in one size.

Colour and type

A palette and type pairing chosen to work on a screen first, then checked against print and signage.

A short brand guide

Clear rules for spacing, minimum size, colour use and what not to do, written so a non-designer can follow it.

Full file handover

SVG, PNG and PDF versions of every logo variant, plus the font files or licence details you need to use the typeface.

Tokens for your site

Your colours and type become design tokens we can build straight into a WordPress theme, so the site matches the identity exactly.

How an identity project runs.

Discovery

A short call and a written brief covering your business, your audience and your competitors. Usually a few days.

Direction and concepts

We present two or three distinct logo directions, along with early colour and type thinking.

Refinement

We take the direction that’s working and refine it: spacing, weight, how it holds up small and in one colour.

Brand guide

We write up the rules for using the system, so it stays consistent after we’ve handed it over.

Handover

Every file, in every format you need, delivered in one organised package.

Honest limits.

A good logo makes your business recognisable and looks right everywhere it’s used, from a favicon to a shopfront sign. It won’t fix a business that’s hard to buy from, and it won’t make an unclear message clearer. If your brochure or your website copy is doing the wrong job, a new logo sitting on top of it won’t solve that.

On trademarks: we check your logo against existing marks for obvious clashes as part of the design process, but that’s not a substitute for proper legal advice. If registering the logo as a trademark matters to your business, get a trademark search and advice from a lawyer before you commit to using it widely.

  • We use AI to speed up early exploration, but a designer draws and finishes every mark we hand over.
  • Your colours and type carry straight through into web and UI design, so the identity and the site are never two separate conversations.
How long does a brand identity take?

A logo and brand guide usually run two to four weeks from the discovery call to final files, depending on how many rounds of feedback it takes to land on a direction. Larger identity systems with multiple sub-brands take longer, and we’ll scope that honestly before starting.

How many logo concepts will we see?

Usually two or three distinct directions after discovery, not ten half-finished options. We’d rather show you a few ideas that actually solve your brief than flood you with variations that all say the same thing.

Do I own the finished logo?

Yes. Once the project is paid for, the logo, the source files and the brand guide are yours outright. We don’t hold licence fees over your identity or charge you again to use your own logo.

Can you refresh a logo we already have instead of starting over?

Often, yes. A lot of identity work is a tidy-up rather than a rebuild: fixing inconsistent colours, building a proper file set, or evolving a mark that’s basically working but looks dated. Tell us what you’ve got and we’ll say honestly whether a refresh or a rebuild makes more sense.

What files do we get at the end?

Vector SVGs for the primary logo and every lockup, PNGs at common sizes, print-ready PDFs, and the actual font files or a note on the licence you need to buy. Everything is organised in one handover folder, not scattered across separate emails.

Do you design business cards and social templates too?

Yes, as part of the identity project or as a follow-on. Once the system exists, applying it to a business card, an email signature or a set of social templates is quick, and it’s covered under print and brochure design if you need physical items produced.

Do you use AI to design the logo?

AI helps us explore directions quickly in the early stages, the same way rough sketches would. The final mark is drawn and refined by a designer, and we check it against existing logos for obvious clashes before it’s finished, so you’re not accidentally launching with someone else’s identity.
