What we collect

We collect whatever information you voluntarily give us when you email us, including your name, your email address and anything specific you mention in your message. If we host or look after your site under a separate arrangement, we also handle the data that lives on it.

Our server logs automatically record basic technical details for every visit, like your IP address, browser type, the pages you viewed and the time of your visit. We may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand which pages get used.

How we use it

We use your details to reply to you, do the work you’ve asked for, and send you updates about a project or plan you’ve bought. We don’t sell your data. We don’t use it for ads.

Where it’s stored

We store data with trusted hosting and email providers. Some may be based outside Australia. We pick providers that meet Australian privacy standards.

Third parties

We share your information with a third party only when it’s needed for the work you’ve asked for, such as a hosting provider or payment processor. We may also share it if the law requires us to.

Access and correction

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to fix it, or ask us to delete it. Just email support@maku.au and we’ll get back to you.

Australian Privacy Principles

We handle personal information under the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If you think we’ve mishandled your information, tell us first. You can also raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
